Road to your tranquil summer home. Taken with a 150mm Zeiss Sonnar on a Hasselblad 500C using Fuji 400 negative film. Normally I display in the square format, but for a change I am presenting as a rectangle.

The black frame with narrow white simulated matting are how I print. This way I can give a choice to my clients how to display the image, on a white backing board, as shown, or with a black top mat, without the edging. The black edge is printed slightly wide so when I trim the print I can take off some of the black to suit my taste.

Square format is displayed in my gallery. Which do you prefer?

I agree with Christopher... all formats have their place, and this one looks great in rectangle.

stunningly beautiful shot.

"Which do you prefer?" It all depends on the picture. I remember when I discovered other formats besides the 2:3 ratio. I fell in love with the square. Then as I grew I could see all the formats, that they each had their place.

This one looks beautiful in the rectangle. The road is more prominent than it would be in a square. I like it.
