Fall leaves. 800-1968, with story

This picture has a twist.

Come the real fall, late October, things start to get serious.  Our Brown County change comes in three divisions. First yellow/green late September to mid October, yellow/orange to late October, finally finishing late October to early November with orange/red.  I had been scouting the woods since October and I would stop to record forest sections as they developed their particular colors.  Using a polarizing filter, the colors would pop out in contrast to the darker backgrounds.

Not content to do as a straight color print, I shot this in infrared as well.  That image was posted earlier December 31, 2016.  Today you can compare their similarities and differences, taken within minutes of each other.
