Multnomah Falls. L1010493 1, with story by harrietsfriend Multnomah Falls. L1010493 1, with story by harrietsfriend
The magnificent Multnomah Falls in central Oregon, USA. Even early in the spring season, the lush and powerful falls attract many visitors and the limited parking lots were quite full. If you would take the time to follow the trails, you could end up on the central bridge span to get a closer, yet moister, look.

Here is the dilemma with famous landmarks. How much credit should the photographer get, and how much credit should the location receive. I did have to scout my spot, wait for others to get out of view, and then compose, focus and expose carefully calculating shadow detail with highlights and selecting an exposure time to blur and yet stop water movement, but someone else with a point and shoot would get nearly as good a shot.

As always feel free to download, just give me photo credit.

Multnomah Falls, Oregon. Wahkeena Falls is close to Multnomah, but your picture is definitely Multnomah. :) Just so you know. Beautiful spot. My favorite place to visit when I'm in that part of the country.
