Description
I met her at the outdoor artist fair I was exhibiting in, not so much for sales, (hardly any) but for the exposure, feedback, and the adventure.
*Women love to have their beauty recognized. I don't know how long it took me to realize this, but once I did, it gave me the courage to approach strangers.
With my camera I could archive their fleeting moment in the here and now. I felt it was fair to interact with others, as long as I didn't take personal advantage, and try to make more of the moment, other than to record how great they looked and what they might have to offer the world.
In this long continuing symbiotic partnership of artist and subject, I would bring my abilities, for it was my turn. I still feel this way, and I meet fascinating people all the time; however, with digital cameras and/or phones, I no longer need to return these images to them directly if I can hand their device back to them with the picture I have already taken, for them to have and share. One of the perks and benefits I have found, many return to my gallery and tell me of the joys that got from sharing these quick portraits, both for friends and history.
I took this image with my Leica M2 with a 50mm F2.0 Summicron on Kodak Tri-X 135mm panchromatic film in the early 1970s.
Feel free to download, just give me photo credit.

This is part of my grab two random strips of old negatives program, scan and see what you did long ago. I average one great image every other time.
