The past rides again. L1040701, with story

Description

It was time to print a new series of images, and I was returning with the new batch.  I must have driven the road, back and forth to Bloomington, a hundred times, and as I was passing a lumber yard, I spotted an ancient truck aside a hill of sawdust.

I took the time to stop, pulled onto the edge, and put the warning flashers on.  In the back of my hatchback were boxes of recycling, I had taken from home to deliver, as well as my monopod.  I fished it out and walked to a likely spot to make the photo.  As often happens, I tried a few more positions, then discovered a peculiar thing about the vehicle.  Taking another series, I selected this one.

Feel free to download, just give me photo credit.

What was obvious to me, might take a bit of time to see, so I have included a tighter cropped image for you. As is my custom, I picked up the trash I pass, cans, and a broken beer bottle in a thrown paper bag, which I just added to my organized boxes, and delivered it upon arriving back to Nashville's recycling center.

I dropped off a copy for the owner and found out more of the story.  Don's father had bought the old truck in 1969, and gave it to his son when he turned 18 to use as his first car.  Later when the family decided to scrap it, he said he would keep it for the sentimental value, then placed the skeleton inside for Halloween last year.  Of the few who notice the truck in the lumber yard most are not aware of the prank inside the cab.
