Wind, rain, then lightning.IRP1010924, with story

As the evening wore on the storm came upon us.  

Just as we felt its presence, I took a few images of the back field.  Winds rocked me, and rain threatened my cameras, but if you don't try, you do not get the photo.  Earlier on I took this image with my infrared camera.  These colors are artificial, but not off by much.  As the rains came I changed to my underwater camera, in standard light.  I will post an image later from this camera.

First high winds, blowing through the tree tops, then pelting rain.  Finally to cap it all came a full show, all night, of lightning.  The power went out about 10pm, briefly reappeared for a few minutes at 3am, then went out the remainder of the night and still into today. Since we had no power we pulled back the drapes to see flashes upon flashes on both sides of the home illuminating the rooms in a cosmic display of on and off again light.  We expected to have power about dinner time, but that is only what they promised.  So far in this, the next evening,  the power isn't back yet.

For those of you who live off the sewer lines, this means there is no electricity for the septic pumps, so while we are fortunate to have water pressure, for the moment, it mainly has no place to drain away.
