Nature can be quite simple and yet beautiful at the same time.

On an errand around town, in the rain, I still carry a camera for the possibility of the unexpected.  I had resigned myself the fall colors had run their course, as the trees had emptied nearly all of their colorful leaves. Now it was time to look down and around instead of up.  The wet  and black topped ground, with the contrast, made these leaves stuck to the ground all the more dramatic.
